HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments

ONLINE, SELF-PACED LEARNING
This course is delivered online, allowing you to complete the training in your own time, at your own pace. There is around 30 hours worth of online theory involved.

3 MONTHS COURSE ACCESS
Students have 3 months to complete the course and can complete it anytime within the timeframe. The 3 months includes working through all the theory, checkpoints, quizzes and practical assessment component/s.

If you are unable to complete your course within the 3 months, there is an optional course extension option ($100 extension fee per 1 month applies)

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT EXPLAINED
The practical assessment component required 3 videos to be filmed and submitted as a video (online). Optionally, this can be completed on-site at THink Aesthetics' training facility in front of an assessor (practical assessment fee of $50 applies for on-site option - this includes all PPE and consumables).

There is an easy to use guide to completing your practical assessment videos included in the course, alongside trainer explanations and demonstrations.

The practical assessment must be demonstrated in a workplace that performs skin penetration procedures/treatments or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions.

100% ONLINE, REMOTE LEARNING
The HLTINF005 course with THink Aesthetics is delivered completely remote (online course access), with electronic video submission of practical assessment items (to be filmed in a workplace or simulated environment).

AUTOCLAVE
Demonstrating knowledge and use of an autoclave is required for this course. If you do not have access to an autoclave you can simulate this component (a guide to simulated options is included in the course). Alternatively, if you choose to complete your practical assessment at THink Aesthetics we do have an autoclave on-site.

The autoclave requirement is not optional. This is a nationally recognised course, and this component is outlined by the government requirements for the qualification.

SIMULATED OPTIONS AVAILABLE
If you do not have a suitable environment for your practical assessment, you can either organise to film at a location that performs skin penetration procedures or complete your practical assessment in a simulated environment.

ONSITE PRACTICAL AVAILABLE
Students who would prefer to perform their practical assessment in-person can do so onsite at THink Aesthetics’ training facility in Brisbane, Queensland (a practical assessment fee of $50 applies).

STUDENT ENROLMENT FORM
Once you have paid for the course you will need to complete our Student Enrolment Form. Once the enrolment form is completed and your information is verified (e.g. USI Number), the online learning portal will be opened and you will be able to begin your learning.

PROCESSING YOUR ENROLMENT
Our team aims to process enrolments ASAP, but in some bases it can take up to 24 hours following completion of the enrolment form. Enrolments are handled during business hours.

Enrolments are only be handled during business hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is also available for $250. Please enquire within for further details regarding the enrolment process and suitability.

RPL contains no course content as is an options only for students converting their existing prior knowledge from a similar qualification (e.g. SHBBINF002 to HLTINF005). Some students may find it much more efficient to complete the full qualification option, with access to course content and reference materials.
