What is SHBBCOS004 Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Eyebrows?

SHBBCOS004 is an elective treatment specialisation that can be completed as a part of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing, or as an accredited certificate in cosmetic tattoo brows.

There are 5 pre-requisite units, including 4 core units and 1 infection control unit:

Core Units:

  1. SHBBSSC004 Function & Structure of Skin and Hair
  2. SHBBCOS002 Colour Theory and Pigmentology
  3. SHBBCOS003 Principles of Cosmetic Tattoo Design
  4. SHBBCOS001 Providing Cosmetic Tattoo Consultations

Infection Control, either:

Students looking to complete the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing are required to complete the 4 core units, 1 infection control and 4 elective units.

At least one elective must be a treatment specialisation, but up to three specialisations can be included in a Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing. The remaining units are your choice of approved business elective units (1-3). Read more on Diploma of Cosmetic Tattoo (Eyebrows).

Who should complete this course?

SHBBCOS004 is an elective treatment specialisation that can be completed as a part of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing, or as an accredited certificate in cosmetic tattoo brows.

The treatment elective units are designed to give you a comprehensive knowledge and experience on 6 model clients to give you the tools and skills to be able to confidently perform cosmetic tattoo treatments in your chosen specialisation/s.

The diploma of cosmetic tattooing is designed to suit all cosmetic tattooists, from the experienced professional wanting to expand their skills with the strongest possible qualification, through to the beginner wanting to kick-start their career with a depth of knowledge that is the new industry benchmark.

This unit is therefore designed for:
• Cosmetic Tattooists
• Beauty Therapists wishing to become Cosmetic Tattooists
• Individuals with no prior industry experience wanting to become a Cosmetic Tattooist

For experienced cosmetic tattoo artists, there are also options for recognition of prior learning (RPL). THink Aesthetics provides both individual accredited unit packages and full Diploma qualification pathways for technicians interested in gaining recognition for their existing skills.

Expected course outcome/s?

• Accredited certificate displaying eyebrow treatment specialisation on completion of chosen training package*
• Gain the skills and knowledge required to prepare for, design and perform cosmetic tattooing for eyebrows
• Develop the tools to be able to determine client requirements, prepare the treatment area and equipment, map out and shape the area to be treated
• Practical skills to perform the procedure and provide post-treatment care and advice.

*Our staff will assist you in every way they can to ensure you perform to the best of your ability and successfully complete your chosen training course. THink is however, unable to guarantee you will be issued with a certificate of completion nor obtain a particular employment outcome.

How is this course delivered?

This course is delivered both online and in-person. Training incorporates practical in-class theory and technique development with 3 days of practical work on 6 clients. These training dates can be scheduled to suit your training schedule and style.

Practical model training dates are 1:1 with your cosmetic tattoo trainer. You will have the full support of your trainer!

What is the enrolment process?

The following applies if you are undertaking this unit as a single unit of competency. If you are completing The Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing, you should have already completed the following process and will not need to do so again.

Enrolments are only be handled during business hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
