SHBBCOS004 Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Eyebrows is one of the treatment elective units of the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (SHB50321). This nationally recognised cosmetic tattoo brow training involves comprehensive pre-learning on skin, hair, pigments, design and consultations. Training incorporates practical in-class theory and technique development with 3 days of practical work on 6 clients.
As a part of SHBBCOS004 Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Eyebrows students learn the following pmu machine brow techniques:
- Featherstroke brows
- Ombre brows
- Combination (hybrid) brows
By undertaking this as a treatment elective towards a Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing, the resulting Diploma Certificate will display 'Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (Eyebrows)'. Students can specialise in up to 3 treatment areas from the following options; Eyebrows, Lips, Eyes, Scalp Micropigmentation and 3D Nipple Areola.
This can also be completed as a Unit of Competency in the form of an accredited unit package, to obtain an accredited certificate in cosmetic tattoo eyebrow treatments. Students must complete the required prerequisites to gain an accredited certificate in cosmetic tattoo eyebrows.

SHBBCOS004 Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Eyebrows is an accredited unit of competency. Students who successfully complete this unit and required pre-requisites will receive an accredited certificate.

What is SHBBCOS004 Provide Cosmetic Tattoo for Eyebrows?
There are 5 pre-requisite units, including 4 core units and 1 infection control unit:
Core Units:
- SHBBSSC004 Function & Structure of Skin and Hair
- SHBBCOS002 Colour Theory and Pigmentology
- SHBBCOS003 Principles of Cosmetic Tattoo Design
- SHBBCOS001 Providing Cosmetic Tattoo Consultations
Infection Control, either:
- HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments, or
- SHBBINF002 Maintain Infection Control Standards
Students looking to complete the Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing are required to complete the 4 core units, 1 infection control and 4 elective units.
At least one elective must be a treatment specialisation, but up to three specialisations can be included in a Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing. The remaining units are your choice of approved business elective units (1-3). Read more on Diploma of Cosmetic Tattoo (Eyebrows).
